ABOUT ME

Conglei Shi (石丛磊) is currently a Research Staff Member in IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from HKUST(Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) in 2014, supervised by Prof. Huamin Qu. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in SJTU (Shanghai Jiao Tong University) in major of Computer Science. During his undergraduate studies, he was a member of the BCMI Lab and supervised by Prof. BaoLiang Lu.

His research interests lie in information visualization and visual analytics. His work mainly focuses on visual analytics of user behaivors through different types of data.

July. 2016:Our paper "Time Curves: Folding Time to Visualize Patterns of Temporal Evolution in Data" has been presented in TVCG Speical Session of Advances in Visualization, SIGGRAPH 2016, Anaheim, CA, USA

April. 2016: Our paper "PieceStack: Toward Better Understanding of Stacked Graphs" has won the Honorable Mention Award at IEEE PacificVis 2016

Jan. 2016: Our paper "PieceStack: Toward Better Understanding of Stacked Graphs" has been accepted by IEEE Transaction on Visualization and Computer Graphics

Nov. 2015: Our paper "PeakVizor: Visual Analytics of Peaks in Video Clickstreams from Massive Open Online Courses" has been accepted by IEEE Transaction on Visualization and Computer Graphics

Aug. 2015: Our paper "TargetVue: Visual Analysis of Anomaly User Behaviors in Online Communication Systems" has been accepted by IEEE VAST 2015 (TVCG track)
